What is Thirdhome.com?

It has been only 8 months since I started working at THIRDHOME and so far it has been incredible.

And since I haven’t shared much about the experience yet, I thought now would be a good time.

First, it’s a luxury home exchange club exclusively for people who own luxury vacation homes……. so that’s nice. Second, I have had the opportunity to make the job my own by taking on the onboarding of new members.  So, I basically talk to very nice people all day about their homes, their lives and where they want to travel.  And, with over 7,000 properties in 80+ countries and an average value of $2.4 million on THIRDHOME.com,  you can see why it would be fun.

In addition to talking to THIRDHOME members one on one, I have also created some online tutorials from what I have learned in these conversations.  Here is one that I made on Keyless Travel on THIRDHOME.com.

Way back when I first started (8 months ago remember) I leaned about a membership where members could travel inside of 30 Days of an available week without using Keys and only paying the exchange fee.  This may not mean much  out of context for most non-members, but it basically means that members can stay in a million $ plus home for $400 to under $1,000 for a whole week.

I have basically been obsessed with this Keyless Travel ever since. So much in fact that I made this movie on my own and didn’t tell anyone about it until it was finished.  Luckily for me I work for and with some pretty amazing people at THIRDHOME who really liked it and asked if I could do more of them.

I hope you enjoy the video and I look forward to using this website as a platform to keep everyone updated on the incredible growth of THIRDHOME.  If you have questions about the club, or just want to see out e-brochure to explore some of the homes and affiliate properties we have in the club, email me at Jay@thirdhome.com.

Thanks for spending a moment with me and I look forward to sharing the journey with you.

30 Uploads to YouTube in 30 Days

“Just Do” – Gary Vaynerchuck

I have taken this quote to heart by challeging myself to upload 30 Videos to YouTube in 30 Days.  No more pondering and planning, just 30 days of solid execution.   I don’t expect every post to be perfect (a problem this challenge will help overcome) and some will be content I already have but have not posted before.

Below is my first post that I shot on Facebook Live from my public page and then learned how to save that Live post and upload it to YouTube.  See…. I learned something already.

I will do my best to update on this website as I go but please follow me on Facebok http://www.facebook.com/pgajayleduc for updates.

Starting to use Vimeo.com to share my movies.

I have decided to start posting my  videos on Vimeo.com in addition to YouTube. With the recent news of Vayner Media starting a relationship with Vimeo.com, it seemed like a good idea to get in now.

I have heard, that it is a much more polished (artsy for lack of a better term) level of content creation and that seems true from my initial impression. I think it will be a good resource to see what people are creating and look forward to using it.

The only problem so far is the limit to how much you can upload each week. You can upgrade and pay each month to upload more, and I may do that, but not until I am posting enough to use the upgraded data. And this could be part of the reason the content is so good as well so maybe not a bad thing.

Have a great new year and thanks to everyone for an incredible 2016.  Looking forward to some incredible things to come in 2017!!!!

Warm Welcome Back to Work

When your job is the best ever, you are always excited to get back to work.  But,  it makes it even better when you get to catch up on new availability in the club on THIRDHOME.com

I was especially excited about this new week available in Greece.

So excited about the direction of the club in 2017 and for our continued growth as a club and as a company. I look forward to documenting so much more in 2017 and sharing the journey with all of you who are generous enough to pay attention.

Getting the hang of all this has been a lot of fun and I feel like I am making some real progress on learning to shoot, edit and distribute.

No substitute for getting in there and just doing it.  Thanks for all the support and kind words. Don’t forget to subscribe to this website and my YouTube channel for updates and new movies.

VLOG002 “Drones and Water”

Will have it live tomorrow.  Made some edits that make it much better.
My goal was to shoot, edit and post in one day and I didn’t do that.  But, from start to finish I have spent 10 hours total filming to now so it’s totally doable.  So that’s a win for theory.  Just have to implement.

I like having a couple days with the movie though to come up with ideas over a little time.  Ideally I think it’s – day to shoot one to edit and one to tighten up and post.

I’ll post a link to VLOG002 here when it’s done.

Late Night Edit of VLOG2 “Drones and Water”

My first test to see if I could film, edit and post a VLOG before the end of the day went very well…..well…..I didn’t get it posted…..but it as 2am when I “finished” editing so I wanted one last look today.

fullsizerenderGlad I did since there are a couple changes I want to make before I put it out.  I should have those done and up today and posted late tonight.  I wish YouTube would allow me to replace the video so that I could update it with changes. Going to upload to VIMEO as well to see how that goes as well.

Will link up the video in both places when I finish it up later.  Thanks!

This PGAjay Show thing is hard!

Reshooting PGAjay show Episode1. Even for someone that loves to talk as much as I do 🤓…… it is way different when you put a camera in front of your face.

After a few minutes of trying to edit the 11 minutes of footage I had for the first episode, I punted it. I reshot it tonight and will work on it during the week when I can. Well worth the reshoot and should have up this week. Now I know why not everyone can do this kinda thing.

I want to keep these answers relevant and really help people, so please keep your questions coming!
